Khan Academy:
Khan Academy is a website that will benefit both the teacher and the students. Through the use of videos and practice problems, students are able to review previously learned concepts and procedures. Teachers may choose to use this website in a flipped classroom setting, where the students can independently learn new materials by watching detailed videos about a concept. This resource is a beneficial tool to assist in the students learning or reviewing materials.

NCTM: National Council for Teaching Mathematics
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) is the world’s largest mathematics education organization. This organization helps teachers design a mathematics curriculum that supports each individual student through the instruction, assessment, research, technology and professional development.

EngageNY:
Engage NY is a resource designed by the New York State Educational Department. The website provides a variety of resources and modules that correspond with the New York State Common Core Standards for grades P-12. The modules can be used as guidelines for teachers as they plan their classroom curriculum. As a public resource, parents and students can refer to the website to develop an understanding of what the Common Core is and how it is being implemented within classrooms daily.

IXL:
IXL Math is a resource for students to use both inside and outside of the school building. This website provides practice questions for the students to complete either inside or outside of the classroom to assist in studying previously taught material. At school, teachers may assign questions for the students to complete independently or project the questions onto the SmartBoard to complete as a class. The website provides students with the opportunity to keep track of their progress independently. Teachers can monitor student’s strengths and weaknesses through the website, and see which specific questions the student may be struggling with.
